Penetrability resistance
Material use in sealing system, gasket should not penetrable below allowable temperature and pressure.
Compressibility
The interface between gasket and flange should dovetail after been clamp with connecting bolt to ensure sealed.
Creep resistance
Gasket should have good creep resistance in service temperature and pressure. Otherwise, it will cause leakage by lost tensional moment of bolt and reduce the surface stress of gasket.
Corrosion-proof
The gasket should not been corroded by service chemical medium and not polluted medium
Flexibility
Even under the state with steady system. Two Fran that join , because the
influence of temperature and pressure is certain to have small displacement, so
the elasticity of the spacer should be able to remedy this displacement.
Adherent-proof The gasket can be easilyremoved after useage.
Non-corrosion
The gasket should be no corrosion to the surface of flanges.
Heat-resistance
Ensure gasket used normally in the minimum temperature and maximum temperature.
Gasket stress requirements by temperature and pressure:
The maximum temperature and pressure cannot necessarily be used simultaneously. General, it will be used in high temperature, low temperature low pressure and high pressure. The operating temperature and pressure of sealing capability for flanges and gasket is related to various factors, especially the materials selected of flanges.
